Backtrack (itch) (vl4dwtz) Mac Os 2

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum but not new to Macs.
I have a MacBook Pro (purchased late 2009) and I am running Mac OS Snow, I have a partition running Windows 7 Ultimate (runs fairly well).
I have been trying to get Ubuntu 10.4 running on it (triple boot), I found this tutorial which is pretty well written: How to Triple-Boot Your Mac with Windows and Linux, No Boot Camp Required - Triple Boot - Lifehacker
I could not get Ubuntu running on it, it goes through the entire install, at the very end, something fails, the CD is ejected, get error message, press any key, reboots. I then choose Linux (Ubuntu) upon boot up and it fails, error msg 'No operating system found' (or something like that).
Anyway, I decided to try to install BackTrack 4 Final instead on that same partition, and that fails too.
Has anyone successfully installed either Ubuntu or BackTrack?
I would very much appreciate any feedback... thanks!
